Meeting of the Academic Council

Today Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has conducted its regular meeting of the Academic Council.

Chief accountant T. F. Berezhna reported on the results of financial and economic university activity in 2015 and its budget for 2016. She noted that financial and economic activity of the university had been carried out at the expense of state budget of general and special funds.

Having heard and discussed the report of the Acting Head of Postgraduate Study Department S. O. Volk on research and publishing activity, the Academic Council noted that academic staff had been working on restoring of university research resources, improvement of staffing quality and integration of scientific researches and education activity.

Modernization of material and technical resources is still important, especially for the Faculty of Natural Sciences to perform up-to-date researches.

Pro-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work Dmytro Viktorovych Uzhchenko reported regarding the competitive things. Natalia Viktorivna Motunova was stand for the position of the Director of College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Olena Serhiivna Kovpak was stand for the position of the Director of Starobilsk Humanitarian and Pedagogical College, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associated Professor Alla Vasylivna Nikitina – for the post of the Head of Department of Ukrainian Language. All candidates were chosen by secret voting.

Other issues included the ones on approval of “Regulations on Competitive Selection to Fill Pedagogical Vacancies at LNU”, changes and supplements to the Collective Employment Agreement, n publishing recommendations and approval of thesis subjects.
