Meeting of the Council of the FFL

On August 26, the first meeting of the Council of the Faculty of Foreign Languages in the 2022-2023 academic year was held.
The meeting was held in an offline format with the participation of all members of the faculty council, namely: the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Iryna Myhovych; Deputy Dean for Educational Work Mila Ovcharova; Deputy Dean for Social and Humanitarian Work Olha Korinska; Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Olena Byndas (connection via Zoom link); the Acting Head of the Department of Foreign Languages under the professional direction of Olha Yunina; the Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation Nadiia Demchenko, the Acting Head of the Department of Oriental Languages Oleksandra Borzova; Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation Svitlana Perova; Associate Professor of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Liudmyla Shapovalova; Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages Svitlana Shpetna (connect via Zoom link); Associate Professor of the Department of Oriental Languages Natalia Fedicheva (connect via Zoom-link); Angelina Vnukova, master’s student; Denis Seliverstov, fourth-year bachelor’s student; Kyrylo Kaltyshev, fourth-year bachelor’s student, and Iryna Skliarova, secretary of the council, deputy dean for work with foreign students.
The following issues were discussed at the meeting:
1. About the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
2. About the approval of the composition of the Council of the Faculty of Foreign Languages for the 2022-2023 academic year.
3. About the approval of the Meeting Plan of the Council of the Faculty of Foreign Languages for the 1st semester of the 2022-2023 academic year and the Work Plan of the Faculty of Foreign Languages for the 2022-2023 academic year.
4. About the results of the 2022 admissions campaign for the BACHELOR program and preparations for its implementation in 2023.
5. Miscellaneous: approval of changes to the curricula for the 2022-2023 academic year; accreditation of educational programs at the Faculty of foreign languages; monitoring of educational content on the Moodle portal; publication of articles in the journal “Education and Pedagogical Sciences”.
Considerable attention was paid to the content of the Work Plan of the Faculty of Foreign Languages for the 2022-2023 academic year, which includes such areas of activity as administrative work, educational and methodological work, scientific research (improvement of teachers’ qualifications), social and humanitarian work, career guidance, and international work.
As separate points, the introduction of the Information Center at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, the beginning of the educational process for students of the first year of the “Bachelor” educational degree, the questionnaire of students regarding the format of the educational process, as well as the updating of the list of advisors for all academic groups were considered.
