Dear teachers, students, employees, graduates! Accept the warmest congratulations on the Independence Day of Ukraine!

August 24 is a date that forever entered the history of the young state as a golden page of its biography, initiated a new era in the life of a long-suffering nation, and legally enshrined its age-old democratic aspirations for national revival, spiritual freedom, economic growth, and cultural elevation.

For every Ukrainian, this is a day of national pride and honor, the personification of freedom, dignity and unity. Especially today, when little Ukraine once again proves its freedom, independence, sovereignty, civilizational choice in Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine. However, this bloody war against the Ukrainian people, their culture and history will not bring our state to its knees. On the contrary, Ukrainians, united into a single and strong nation, will very soon defeat the enemy and force them to retreat and never set foot on our land again!

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University once again proved its devotion to the Ukrainian national idea, showed heroism, stability, and indomitability in defending national values. As in all 100 years of their existence, the university staff continues to create the history of the country, continuing educational, research and scientific work, which in wartime is the second front in the fight against racism.

We congratulate everyone on the great national holiday and wish from the bottom of our hearts peace, goodness, happiness, generous fate, and most importantly – VICTORY! It is so desired and dreamed of by millions of loyal Ukrainians who are constantly waiting for it. We believe that Ukraine will win and regain its own lands, and our university will return to its native Luhansk region!
