The Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology conducts active social and humanitarian work.
From August 15, 2022, the educational process for the second-fourth year students started at the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology. From the very first days of study, the directorate organized an online meeting with leaders, academic groups, and student self-government. The Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work held a meeting of the council of advisors of academic groups, heads of departments of the ER IPP, at which the peculiarities of holding traditional events in the new academic year were discussed.
The activity of academic advisers of the institute’s departments in the 2022-23 academic year will be carried out in accordance with the regulations of LTSNU. Academic advisors have drawn up work plans that have a complex nature and provide for the specificity, expediency, justification of social and humanitarian work, taking into account the characteristics of the student body, the level of its development, traditions that have developed at the ER IPP; taking into account the needs and interests of each student in the group; connection with the life of society, the future professional activity of students.
At the beginning of the new academic year, the teaching staff and students of various specialties “Preschool Education”, “Primary Education”, “Special Education”, “Psychology”, “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology”, “Primary education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” became active participants in the “Three August Spas: Honey, Apple and Nut” competition.
It is known that the three Savior Days (Spas) in August have both religious and pagan origins. As for the first, it is connected with the Savior Jesus Christ, who believed that every person is strong so as not to be tempted to sin and be saved. The second one concerns folk beliefs, when people invested labor in their land, for which it rewarded them with a generous harvest. The Third Savior Day is popularly called Nut, Cloth or Bread. The most important of the three Savior Days (Spas) is Apple. There is a saying among the people: “Apple Spas – Summer Has Left Us.”
Continuing the customs of their people, the students of the ER IPP prepared interesting compositions from various herbs, honey, grapes, plums, apples, pears, bread, nuts, etc. It is nice that students and teachers showed activity, creativity and, despite the difficult times, joined in the creation of interesting compositions.
