The beginning of a new academic year

On August 15, 2022, the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Journalism started a new academic year in the form of a conference for the second-fourth year students using the Google Meet platform.

The educational process at the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Journalism will take place in a remote format using the Moodle educational portal, Telegram chats, Teams, etc.

At the beginning of the event, Iryna Boitsun, the deputy dean for academic work, congratulated the students and spoke about the organization of the educational process in the new semester in the main directions: educational, social-humanitarian and scientific activities.

The students were informed about the changes that took place at the Faculty: the appointment of the Acting Dean – Professor Artem Halych, change of the faculty name, creation of new departments. Oksana Kleschova, Associate Professor, Candidate of Philological Sciences, was appointed the head of the Ukrainian Language Department, and Olha Kryzhanovska, Associate Professor, Doctor of Philological Sciences, became the head of the Department of Ukrainian and Foreign Literature.

The head of the Ukrainian Language Department, Oksana Kleschova, congratulated the students. She wished the students a peaceful sky, good health and creative effort on the way to acquiring knowledge.

The Deputy Dean for Academic Work conducted a briefing on life safety for the students. Emphasis was placed on the need to comply with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine regarding the organization of anti-epidemic measures during the period of incidence of COVID-19. Also, Iryna Yevgeniivna told the students about the rules of behavior during martial law in public places, in temporarily occupied territories, advised students not to neglect air alarms, etc.

The staff of the Student Council of the Faculty continues to work, fulfill its powers; meetings were held and work was planned for the semester.
