Mykola Semenov, the Head of the Information Technologies Department of the ER IPMIT took part in the webinar as part of the course “Distance Learning Expert” as an invited expert.
As you know, our university is a recognized leader in distance learning in Ukraine, and our employees have unique experience in successfully organizing the educational process in wartime. The confirmation of this fact is the invitation of university employees as experts for the training of educators.
So, on July 18, the Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Systems, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Mykola Semenov took part in the webinar as part of the course “Distance Learning Expert”, conducted by Prof. Volodymyr Kukharenko (Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University). During the event, he shared his unique experience in organizing distance learning at the recognized leader of distance learning in Ukraine – Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
Mykola Anatoliiovych began his speech with a story about our university staff, who changed their location twice in the 21st century, but managed to maintain the quality of education at a high level. European experience helped them in this, because back in 2006 and 2011, the university successfully passed the EUA (European University Association) independent assessment, as a result of which distance learning was identified as one of the university’s strategies.
During the report, he also focused the listeners’ attention on the main stages of the development of distance learning at the university, the system of its organization and the influence of the Swiss (2015), British (2016) experience and implementation of the MOPED project (Modernization of pedagogical higher education using innovative teaching tools) on the implementation distance learning at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
At the end of the report, its discussion took place. The participants of the webinar are sure that despite the difficulties faced by the Ukrainian society, the correct organization of distance learning will be able to contribute to the training of highly qualified personnel who will build the new European future of our country.
