Members of the Ukrainian national team

Students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University are members of the Ukrainian national team at the European Handball Championship.

On July 16, the men’s youth handball team of Ukraine (U-20) started in the 2022 European Championship among the teams of the second strongest division, which is called the EHF Championships 2022 and takes place in Varna, Bulgaria, at the Palace of Culture and Sport.

Two students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports – Dmytro Redkyn (2nd year) and Mykyta Litvinenko (3rd year) represent our university as part of the national team.

In the opening match, the youth national team of Ukraine played a draw against North Macedonia – 23:23. It is worth noting that our team was ahead (23:22), but in the last minute Macedonians equalized the score.

Mykyta Litvinenko (5 goals) was recognized as the best player of the Ukrainian national team in the match against North Macedonia at the Championship-2022. Dmytro Redkyn scored 3 goals against the opponents.
