Admission campaign in Myrhorod

The head of the admissions committee, Rector of the University, Olena Karaman, visited Myrhorod for the purpose of organizing the 2022 admissions campaign and preparing for the new academic year.
The city of Myrhorod, which kindly accepted a part of the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University into its territorial community, is the historical, cultural and socio-economic center of the Poltava region, famous for its healing springs, healing traditions, and hardworking and devoted people to the Motherland.
Due to the Cooperation Agreement No. 20 dated June 9, 2022 between Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Myrhorod City Council, several structural subdivisions of the university are located here – the Faculty of Natural Sciences, the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business, the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies, Rubizhne Professional College of LTSNU, Brianka Professional College LTSNU.
On July 1, the opening ceremony of the admission campaign – 2022 took place on the basis of the T.G. Shevchenko Myrhorod Gymnasium of the Myrhorod City Council of the Poltava Region (director – Iryna Shevchenko) with the participation of authorities and mass media. As a result, information about the beginning of the university’s educational activities and the admissions campaign in Myrhorod spread throughout Ukraine.
From July 5 to 8, the head of the admissions commission, Rector of the University Olena Karaman paid an official visit to the city of Myrhorod, during which a number of meetings were held with applicants, including internally displaced persons who suffered from Russian aggression; with the leadership of the Myrhorod City Council, management and educational institutions. In addition to the topical issues of the admissions campaign, the issue of preparing for the start of the new academic year in a mixed form – offline and distance – with compliance with the safety rules of the participants of the educational process was raised.
During the meeting with the mayor Serhii Solomakha, a number of strategic areas of interaction between the university and the community were determined, creating conditions for the functioning of the university in the aggregate of all areas of activity, study and accommodation of students and teachers in the Myrhorod city community.
Ways to implement the identified strategic directions were discussed with Antonina Nikitchenko, head of affairs of the Executive Committee, and Tetiana Kolybelnik, head of the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the Myrhorod City Council.
Based on the results of the visit, a joint plan for conducting the admission campaign and preparing for the new academic year was drawn up.
The teachers and students sincerely thank the team of the Myrhorod City Council – Serhii Solomakha, Antonina Nikitchenko, Tetiana Kolybelnik, the director of the Gymnasium Iryna Shevchenko, the residents of the community for supporting our university in the most difficult time of the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine.
The beginning of the academic year in the Myrhorod city community will be a reliable test of the stability of the educational system and a worthy response to the aggressor’s criminal actions. Together we will prove that education is stronger than weapons, because it is a solid foundation for the recovery and stable development of Ukraine after the Victory!
