The trainings were held online on June 11-12 and 18-19, 2022. The “Active Citizens” is a British Council program for young people in the field of intercultural dialogue and social development, implemented in 68 countries.
During the training, participants got acquainted, shared expectations from the training, jointly formed the strategic goal of the Active Citizens Program, which is based on two “whales” of sustainability and trust and interaction, and briefly acquainted with the “river of active citizens”.
Part of the training days was a very lively presentation of the speaker Serhii Tolstikhin “Activity as a Source of Change in the Community on the Example of Staroushytsia Community and Bakota.” He presented his experience in the development of tourism at the community level, presented his projects and told what he is doing now, in particular why it is important not to forget to develop tourism during the war.
Another speaker was Volodymyr Pletiuk with the topic “The Impact of Community Image on its Sustainable Development”, where the speaker clearly and understandably explained to everyone what a community is and how to develop it.
Most of the training was devoted to grant projects: how to find them, what their structure is and how to clearly state their purpose and objectives when applying for grant applications.
The online trainings were conducted by the InSource Center for the Development of Initiatives with the support of the project “Strengthening Intersectoral Cooperation for Social Cohesion”, co-financed by the European Union and the British Council in Ukraine.
Based on the results of the training, each participant will receive a certificate from the British Council.
