How to Publish an Article in the Scopus Edition

The Department of Postgraduate Studies held a scientific and methodological seminar “How to Publish an Article in the Scopus Edition?”.

On June 9, the Department of Postgraduate Studies of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University headed by the speaker, Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching, Doctor of Physics and Mathematics, Professor Anatolii Zhuchko, organized and conducted a scientific seminar “How to Publish an Article in the Scopus Edition?”

The purpose of the event is to teach the scientific and pedagogical staff to quickly search for free, reliable publications included in the scientific-metric database Scopus for further placement of their own publications, which in the future will increase the personal Hirsch index of the scientists, and the university Hirsch index.

More than 60 specialists from various fields and specialties joined the online communication.

Attendees were clearly shown working with the public portal The SCImago Journal & Country Rank, which includes journals contained in the Scopus database. The Vice-Rector illustrated how to determine the quartile of the journal and its h-index, explained how to find a free journal indexed in Scopus, by the relevant scientific specialty of the scientist, gave examples of such free journals in which our university teachers can publish their articles, answered questions.
