Online Applicant’s Day

Today, May 21, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University hosted the Online Applicant’s Day.

Holding the Applicant’s Day every Saturday has already become a traditional event for our university. Its purpose is to tell entrants about our university and its specialties, to acquaint with the peculiarities of the 2022 admission campaign, the conditions of admission, as well as to answer all the questions that, in such a difficult time, many graduates and their parents have.

Today, about 140 people took part in the online event, 100 of whom were present on the Google Meet platform, and others joined the broadcast of the event, which was on the official Instagram page of the university. Among those present were the Rector of the University, directors of educational and research institutes, deans of faculties, deputies and heads of departments of structural subdivisions, deputy executive secretary of the admissions committee.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching Yaroslava Yurkiv addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. She greeted the guests of the event, introduced the administration of our higher educational institution and showed the audience a presentation about the structural subdivisions of the university. They are 8 educational and scientific institutes, 3 faculties, 6 vocational colleges and a regional center for professional education, which together have more than 12,000 students of different levels.

The Rector of the University Olena Karaman told the audience about the university, the benefits of studying in our higher educational institution, the peculiarities of the work and location of structural subdivisions of the university after the forced evacuation from Starobilsk. “Currently, the university operates in Poltava region. The main branches of the admission committee will be located in Poltava, Lubny and Myrhorod. Therefore, we invite you to the picturesque city, the spiritual center of Ukraine to study at our university at all levels and degrees,” Olena Leonidivna said.

The Deputy Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Maryna Oleinykova told the audience about the admission in 2022. In particular, she focused on organizing a national multi-subject test. Thus, given the state of war in the country and the high probability of air alarms in different regions, testing will not be conducted on the same day and at the same time. Prospective entrants will have at least 10 days to take the test (excluding additional sessions).

There were a lot of questions in the chat from future entrants during the event. In particular, they asked about benefits for combatants when entering the master’s program, the possibility of admission through educational centers “Donbas-Ukraine” and “Crimea-Ukraine”, the need to create an electronic office to enter the master’s program, the procedure for receiving documents for residents of Donbas and others. Competent answers to all questions were provided.

The next Applicant’s Day will take place next Saturday, May 28, at 10 a.m. at http://meet.google.com/ckb-xcpf-dxc. So, join! And if you have any questions, please contact the representatives of the admission committee for more information by phone + 38 095 105 60 05.
