Regarding inclusion in the state register

An application has been submitted to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for inclusion of our university in the State Register of Scientific Institutions for the period of martial law.

On May 11, an application was submitted and documents were sent to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to include Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University in the State Register of Scientific Institutions Supporting the State for the Period of Martial Law in Ukraine.

The state register of state-supported scientific institutions is a list of scientific institutions and institutions of higher education of all forms of ownership, the activities of which are important for the development of science, economy and production. With the application for inclusion in the register of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Free Economic Zone may apply in case of passing the state certification in terms of scientific and scientific-technical activities. It will be recalled that in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 372 dated 25.03.2021 on the results of state certification of free economic science in terms of their scientific (scientific and technical) activities of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and assigned in this direction to the qualification group B. As a result: our university has the right to apply for state support.

It should be noted that scientific institutions and free economic zones included in the register enjoy tax benefits in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine, cannot change scientific and scientific-technical activities to other activities, are obliged to direct at least 50% of income from their activities and (or) scientific and technical activities and development of material and technical base necessary for scientific research and scientific and technical (experimental) developments. Scientific institutions and free educational institutions are included in the register by the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for a period of up to five years within the period determined by the results of state certification.

To ensure that Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University will be included in the State Register of Scientific Institutions Supported by the State for the Period of Martial Law in Ukraine, the relevant departments of our university have prepared the necessary package of documents, which was sent to the MES of Ukraine. We hope to receive a certificate of inclusion in the above State Register and state support.
