The Journalism Department continues to work!

Since the first days of Russia’s war against Ukraine, the Department of Journalism and Publishing has been actively communicating with students and teachers.

The Telegram-channel “Youth Scientific and Professional Media Club of the FUPSC” disseminates only reliable information about:

  • organization of the educational process depending on the security situation in the regions and further functioning of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications and the University under martial law;
  • preservation of higher education and distance or blended learning;
  • realities and prospects of university development, etc.

On March 17, 2022, a meeting was organized on the Microsoft Teams platform with the Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Professor Olena Karaman, who informed the faculty about the situation in the region and set tasks for the near future. She also stressed that the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications is an outpost of Ukrainian studies in the eastern region of our country.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University urges employees and students to carefully check any information, not to trust anonymous sources in messengers and social networks, rumors and gossip. Rely only on official information.

Destructive actions in the form of spreading fakes and misinformation are aimed at provoking panic and disorganization.
