The Department resumed the provision of educational services for students from March 9, 2022, using the platforms Microsoft Teams, Zoom and more.

The Department of Romance and Germanic Philology is the largest Department of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, which provides educational services for the study of English, German, French and Spanish.

On March 22, 2022, a scheduled meeting of the Department was held, which was attended by all full-time teachers: 2 professors, 4 associate professors, 2 senior teachers and 7 teachers. The meeting discussed urgent issues regarding the peculiarities of educational and methodological work of teachers of the Department under martial law; career guidance work in the second semester: work online with schools in Poltava and other regions; accreditation of specialties at the Department in 2022-2023; conducting activities in the second semester aimed at national-patriotic and multicultural education of students, material and psychological support; on the peculiarities of pedagogical practice (industrial) for the 3rd year students majoring in 014 SE. Language and Literature (English, German, French, Spanish) under martial law, etc.
