First aid training
2.5.2022
On April 28, the training of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine on training of civilians in first aid took place.
The event took place in the dormitory No. 3 of Poltava University of Economics and Trade. The Rector Olena Karaman together with her colleagues attended the training and thanked the charity for providing humanitarian aid to internally displaced persons, who, unfortunately, experienced the horrors of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
The theoretical course from the Red Cross, which lasted about 6 hours, was successfully combined with practical training on special mannequins, on which everyone could train.
The training program included: principles of first aid; cardiopulmonary resuscitation; airway obstruction; assistance in drowning and injuries; applying a bandage and tourniquet for critical bleeding, etc.
As a result of the training, all participants were issued an international certificate, which is valid in 192 countries.
