Research and teaching staff of the Department of Commodity Research, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods Expertise joined the scientific webinar.

The event focused on the importance of positioning the university in the world responsible rankings and the role of scientists in these processes. The webinar was conducted by Iryna Tykhonkova, Clarivate Analytics Regional Solutions Consultant (Head Office: London, UK).

Attention was focused on the university’s participation in internationally responsible rankings and their impact on the ecosystem of higher education institutions. The importance of a harmonious combination of education and science was also emphasized; cooperation with employers to implement scientific ideas. All this affects the ranking of the university and as a result – is the key to choosing a prestigious university for applicants.

During the webinar, the peculiarities of evaluation in the leading world rankings and the importance of developing a university strategy and the role of each research and teaching staff in its implementation were discussed.

The role of the library in creating the profile of the university and its cooperation with research and teaching staff who have their own profiles is crucial. This will provide a real reflection of the achievements of the university’s scientists and will significantly affect the university’s place in the leading international rankings.

During the event, recommendations were given on the use of existing tools for verifying information in the profiles of the university and research and teaching staff and their importance.

At the end of the event all participants received certificates.
