Meeting of the Academic Council

On April 29, a meeting of the Academic Council of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took place in a remote format.

The following issues were considered on the agenda:

• on approval of the chairmen of the commissions within the Academic Council;
• competitive cases;
• on the assignment of academic titles;
• working questions.

After hearing and discussing the report of the Chairman of the Academic Council of the University Vitalii Kurylo, the Academic Council approved the chairmen of the commissions within the University Academic Council, which will be responsible for preparing issues for discussion and consideration at meetings of the Academic Council and relevant draft decisions. Thus, the chairmen of the commission on strategic development of the university and regulations, the commission on academic work, the commission on scientific, international and project activities, the commission on financial and economic activities, the commission on socio-humanitarian work and relations with the public were approved. 

The decision of the Academic Council elected vacant positions of Head of the Social Work Department, Head of the Pedagogy Department, and Head of the Department of Algebra and Systems Analysis.

The Academic Council awarded two scientific and pedagogical workers the titles of associate professor of the Pedagogy Department and associate professor of the Social Work Department.

Among the working issues were approved curricula templates for educational programs of specialty 014 Secondary education (with subject specialties); list of disciplines of free choice for applicants of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels for 2022 – 2023 academic year, educational and professional programs of specialized secondary vocational education, educational and professional training programs and curricula  for Lysychansk Pedagogical Professional College of LTSNU; changes were made to the forms of final certification for applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level in 2022 and the composition of the Academic Council; scientific and educational-methodical works were recommended for publication, dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy were approved, new forms of diploma of professional higher education at the level of professional junior bachelor, diplomas for Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, their design and methods of protection and appendices to them were approved.
