Pedagogical readings
28.4.2022
Traditional pedagogical readings were organized at the Department of Preschool and Primary Education as part of the Science Days.
This year’s event was dedicated to the 430th anniversary of the birth of the founder of modern pedagogy, Jan Amos Comenius. Thus, the topic was defined as “Pedagogical Ideas of Comenius in the Context of Modern Education.”
The event was attended by first-fourth year students majoring in “Preschool Education”, “Primary Education”, “Primary Education. krainian Language and Literature” under the guidance of teachers of the Department. Pedagogical readings were held at a fairly high methodological and scientific level, aroused great interest among applicants. During the event, students presented their reports on the following issues:
- The figure of Jan Amos Comenius in the history of pedagogical thought.
- “Great Didactics”: educational principles of Jan Amos Comenius.
- The problem of family upbringing in the works of Comenius.
- The evolution of the “golden rule of didactics” by Comenius and its interpretation in the era of digitalization.
- Comenius’s classroom-lesson system: challenges of the present.
The pedagogical readings created optimal conditions for informal communication, which allowed higher education students to share experiences, find like-minded people, and unite with teachers of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education for further cooperation, accumulation of ideas and combination of opportunities.
