The staff of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University expresses its sincere gratitude to Oleksii Nestulia, Rector of Poltava University of Economics and Trade, for support and the opportunity to host the Management Center of our University in the city of Poltava under the martial law since February 24, 2022.

On March 29, 2022, at 10:30, the leadership of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University met with the Rector of the Poltava University of Economics and Trade, Professor Oleksii Nestulia. During the conversation, Rector Olena Karaman on behalf of the staff of our higher education institution thanked Poltava colleagues for the shelter, thanks to which it was possible to place the administration and provide temporary housing for the administration, staff and students of the university. Further cooperation between the two educational institutions was discussed.

It should be noted that Poltava University of Economics and Trade under the leadership of Oleksii Nestulia is rescuing Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University for the second time: in 2015 due to Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine in 2014 and now, during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, when the university buildings in Luhansk region were again temporary occupated. 

Since 2015, on the basis of Poltava University of Economics and Trade, two structural subdivisions of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University have been successfully carrying out educational activities – the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts.

From now on, PUET became the base for the Activity Management Center of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
