Charity concert

On Maundy Thursday, teachers and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University organized a charity concert for IDPs in Poltava.

On April 21, at 2:15 pm, on Maundy Thursday, a concert of teachers and students of the Institute of Culture and Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took place at the Poltava University of Economics and Trade during a free lunch for migrants, including in the banquet hall.

At the beginning of the event, the hosts thanked the internally displaced persons and thanked the Rector of Poltava University Oleksiy Nestuli, noting that “more than seven years ago Luhansk University was in the same condition as you are now, when you were forced to move to Poltava due to events in eastern Ukraine, where they received assistance from the Poltava University of Economics and Trade”.

On the improvised stage, representatives of the institute presented bright numbers, in particular:

  • chamber ensemble of the Institute of Culture and Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Soloist – People’s Artist of Ukraine, Associate Professor of Music and Choreography, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Poltava Academic Symphony Orchestra Yurii Kyrychenko;
  • teacher of the Department of Music Art and Choreography of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, soloist of the Poltava Regional Philharmonic, finalist of the vocal show “X-Factor” Larysa Borysenko;
  • Ruslan Khrystychenko, lecturer of the Department of Music Art and Choreography of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University;
  • Associate Professor of the Department of Musical Arts and Choreography of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, Director of the Poltava Music School named after Platon Maiboroda Yevhen Dudnyk;
  • Yanina Vyshegorodska, a graduate of the Institute of Culture and Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University;
  • students of the Institute of Culture and Arts of LTSNU Yaroslava Tsiulina, Yulia Zhuravlova, Maria Tikhonova.

The immigrants had the opportunity to enjoy every minute of the action, which calmed them down, gave them strength and cleansed their souls from the suffering of the Russian war against Ukraine.

The concert was also attended by the Rector of LTSNU Olena Karaman, who expressed her sincere gratitude to the staff of the Institute of Culture and Arts and the Rector of Poltava University Oleksii Nestulia for shelter, warmth and support, humanity, sincerity and hope for return. The concert ended with a storm of applause.
