Science Days

On April 15, a scientific seminar of the Department of Commodity Research, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods Expertise was held, dedicated to the Science Days in Ukraine.

The event was held via Google Meet. Applicants for the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education, specialty 076 “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities” of the educational program “Commodity Science and Expertise in Customs”, management of the Educational and Research Instituteof Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism and research and teaching staff of the Department of Commodity Research, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods  Expertise joined the scientific seminar. 

The scientific seminar was held to present the implementation of research in the educational process, realization of scientific potential of higher education students and testing of their scientific works, exchange of best practices and opinions between young and experienced scientists, popularization of commodity science, expert and evaluation activities.

Eduard Potapenko, Director of the ER ICSTT, addressed the seminar with a welcoming speech and wished a fruitful discussion of the results of scientific research, problematic issues and further directions of scientific research, strengthening the links between science and practice.

The Head of the Department Liudmyla Senogonova received congratulations on the Science Days in Ukraine, wished a productive discussion during the approbation of scientific results of higher education students. Natalia Omelchenko, Maria Morozova and Anna Brailko, scientific advisers of the reports presented at the scientific seminar, addressed motivational words of support and gratitude to the graduates.

During the scientific seminar, students successfully presented the results of scientific research on:

  • study of consumer preferences for drinking milk;
  • specifics of conducting auto-commodity examinations in order to determine the value of wheeled vehicles;
  • features of information support of dry construction mixtures;
  • construction of the generalized modern commodity classification of doors taking into account the last changes in the modern assortment intended for carrying out identification, commodity examination and / or estimation;
  • definition and systematization of criteria used in the markets to assess the quality of wheat and factors shaping its quality;
  • formation of modern classification of yogurts and requirements for their quality;
  • research of the modern cookie market and determination of the main tendencies and prospects of its development;
  • formation of a modern classification of wines of foreign production.

After the presentation of the research results, the problematic issues were discussed and further promising areas of research and their popularization were determined.

According to the results of presentations of scientific reports, all participants were awarded diplomas for active participation in the presentation and discussion of scientific research, promotion of commodity science, expert and evaluation activities.
