Ukraine-Austria Linguistic Bridge

An open online lecture by Tilman Reuter, Professor at the Alpen Adria Universität (Klagenfurt), took place on April 15.

Thus, teachers of the Department of Ukrainian Language had the opportunity to meet Tilman Reuter, Professor of Cultural Studies at the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Alpen Adria Universität, Klagenfurt, Austria.

The open lecture, which was attended by 53 scientists from different cities of Ukraine, took place online on the Zoom platform.

The scientific event was held within the framework of the educational-scientific project “Academic Bridge” of Kherson State University, during the implementation of which scientists from Ukraine and abroad give lectures online.

The project has become a kind of open online platform for meetings and professional discussions of all those who are not indifferent to the issues of modern academic science. Such an academic bridge encourages communication between modern linguists, fellow scientists, and higher education applicants from other universities in Ukraine.

Teachers of the Ukrainian Language Department are grateful to Professor Tilman Reuter for the interesting and useful lecture “Language Realities in the World and in Ukraine”, in which the lecturer raised current issues of language, speech, Surzhik, drawing interlingual parallels. Special thanks to the organizing colleagues of Kherson State University for an interesting meeting, for establishing the “Academic Bridge” with Austria, which scientists had the opportunity to visit, to join the world academic community.
