Online Applicant’s Day

On April 16, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University hosted the Online Applicant’s Day.
For the second time, during the full-scale war in Ukraine, the University hosted the Applicant’s Day. Its purpose is to tell entrants about our university and its specialties, to acquaint with the peculiarities of the admission campaign and training, as well as to answer all the questions that, in such a difficult time, many graduates and their parents have.
About 130 people took part in the online event, 95 of whom were present on the Google Meet platform, and others joined the broadcast of the event, which was on the official Instagram page of the university. Among those present were the Rector of the University, directors of educational and scientific institutes, deans of faculties, deputies and heads of departments and structural subdivisions, deputy executive secretary of the admissions committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, Vice-Rector for Research and Education Yaroslava Yurkiv addressed the audience and said: “This year, March 1, our higher education institution celebrated its 101st anniversary and, unfortunately, we could not celebrate it solemnly, because the war began. But we are sure that there will be a VICTORY soon and together with you we will celebrate the 102nd anniversary of our native university.”
The Rector of the University Olena Karaman told the audience about the university and the benefits of studying at our higher educational institution. “Today, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is a modern and powerful educational and scientific production complex, which includes: 8 educational and scientific institutes, 3 faculties, 6 vocational colleges and the Regional Center for Professional Education, which together have more than 12,000 students, pedagogical workers and civil servants who take advanced training courses,” Olena Leonidivna emphasized.
The Deputy Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Maryna Hrynko acquainted the audience with the structural subdivisions of the university and the list of specialties available to them; told about the features of the admission campaign-2022, the conditions of admission; informed about the preparation of a multi-subject test and deadlines for its registration.
Many questions from future entrants were sent during the online chat meeting. First of all, they concerned the peculiarities of the admission campaign, the national multi-subject test, obtaining diplomas, etc.
