Meeting with the university staff

On April 14, a meeting on the organization of the university’s activities under martial law was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

The meeting of the University Administration with the teaching and student groups took place at Poltava University of Economics and Trade. Among the issues raised for discussion were:

  • functioning of the university under martial law;
  • rules and conditions of the admission campaign-2022 at all educational and qualification levels;
  • registration for multidisciplinary testing.

Vitalii Kurylo, Chairman of the Academic Council of the University, stressed that in the conditions in which our higher education institution finds itself today, it is extremely important to preserve the contingent of teachers and students of the University. That is why no student has been expelled for academic arrears or non-payment. The University continues to pay salaries and all due payments to teachers and staff in full.

Vitalii Semenovych also spoke about the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine to abolish external evaluation for one year and admission of entrants to higher education institutions based on the results of participation in a multi-subject test and writing cover letters. He answered many questions of the meeting participants and noted that all approaches to the organization of this year’s admission campaign will be considered.

The Rector of the University Olena Karaman focused the attention of the participants on the end of the academic year, certification of graduates, conditions for admission to creative and conjunctural specialties, the work of educational centers “Donbas-Ukraine” and “Crimea-Ukraine”.

At the end of the meeting, Olena Leonidivna thanked all the participants for their activity and wished them daily effective work.
