Participation of teachers of the Ukrainian Language Department in the webinar

Teachers of the Ukrainian Language Department took part in a webinar from Clarivate.

In the conditions of difficult times in the country, the teachers of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University continue the educational process and, if possible, increase their scientific and professional level. Thus, on April 7, 2022, teachers of the Ukrainian Language Department took part in a webinar from Clarivate.

Among the main tasks of scientific and pedagogical workers is scientific work. The question remains: how not to make a mistake with the choice of a scientific publication, to publish scientific achievements and present them to the world community.

Clarivate representative Iryna Tykhonkova held a webinar on “Predatory Publications: Recognize and Avoid”.

Publication in predatory publications is a loss of research results, time, financial resources, and most importantly – a loss of reputation.

During the webinar, teachers had the opportunity to learn about the main types of predatory publications, what to look for when choosing a publication for publication, how to check the indexing of the publication, for example, in the Web of Science Core Collection database.

At the end of the webinar, lecturer Iryna Tykhonkova answered the questions from the registration questionnaires and said: “During April, Clarivate invites scientists to a series of free webinars of Web of Science in Ukrainian on the Webex platform.”

Webinar participants, who attended more than 90% of the time, were issued certificates from Clarivate and provided with access to information materials for further processing and use.
