Meeting with a Croatian cybersecurity expert

Higher education students and teachers met with a Croatian cybersecurity expert at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

During the Science Days – 2022, the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​hosted a meeting of higher education students and teachers with the expert on national security, Ms. Ivona Jarza, who presented the experience of the University of Zagreb in this area.

The theoretical basis of the meeting was a brief analysis of the legal and institutional mechanisms for cyber security in the Baltic States and Eastern Europe in the face of current challenges and threats to international security, presented by Ms. Yarzha. The foreign guest also focused on the growing scale of information terrorism, cyber attacks, cybercrime, aggressiveness of Russia’s foreign policy, and its asymmetric wars. The cybersecurity strategies of Estonia, Lithuania, Croatia, the activities of the responsible authorities, as well as the individual actions of these countries to strengthen the protection of cyberspace in the region were also of great interest to the participants of the meeting.
