Online Applicant’s Day

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University hosted the Online Applicant’s Day.

For the first time, during the full-scale war in Ukraine, the University hosted the Applicant’s Day. This was extremely important and necessary, because in such a difficult time, graduates of educational institutions, their class teachers and parents had many questions about entering higher education this year.

The event was attended by more than 150 people, about 100 of whom were present on the Google Meet platform, and others participated in the broadcast of the event, which was on the official Instagram page of the university. Traditionally, the free online administration was attended by the administration of the Free Economic Zone, deans, directors, heads of departments and teachers of structural subdivisions, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Vice-Rector for Research and Teaching Yaroslava Yurkiv told the entrants about the history of our famous university and stressed that this year the university, proudly named after the great Kobzar, will celebrate its 101th anniversary.

The Rector of the university Olena Karaman informed the audience about the advantages of studying at the university and focused on those that are not available in other higher education institutions, in particular, fixed volumes of state order and affordable contract tuition.

The Deputy Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Maryna Hrynko acquainted the audience with the university structural subdivisions and the list of specialties available to them; told about the features of the admission campaign-2022, the conditions of admission; informed about the preparation of a multi-subject test and deadlines for its registration. She spoke in detail about admission to the specialty with a creative competition, admission to the postgraduate courses, threshold scores.

Among the questions asked to educators today were: how to enter a particular specialty; what documents need to be prepared; whether it will be possible to study remotely if the city is under occupation; how admission will take place in the abbreviated form of education, etc.

At the end of the meeting, Olena Leonidivna emphasized: “We are very pleased to see and hear each of you today. Thank you for joining our meeting at such a difficult time and confidently stepping into your dream. And know that Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has always been, is and will be a leader in higher education, and not only in the east, but throughout the country.”
