Science Days at the Social Pedagogy Department

In the framework of the Days of Science on April 7-8, the Department of Social Pedagogy held the All-Ukrainian Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Social Work in the Interdisciplinary Dimension: History, Theory and Practice”.

The conference was held online using the Google Meet service. The partners of the event were the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” and Khmelnytskyi Institute of Social Technologies of the University “Ukraine”.

The conference discussed current issues of history, theory and practice of social work in the context of understanding its main objectives, trends and organization of research in the field of interdisciplinarity, using the potential of existing theories and concepts in various fields, evolution of social work methodology, modern ideas about models and directions of its theory and practice.

At the conference, applicants for higher education presented the results of their own scientific research. During the reports there were lively discussions, fruitful exchange of views, promising areas of further research, attention to the actualization of interdisciplinary approach in the development of theory and practice of social work in today’s conditions, its global priorities and standards.

The best reports of the conference participants were published in the form of articles in the collection of scientific works of students “Scientific Activities of Young Researchers”.
