Appeal to the university community of LTSNU

Dear students, teachers, staff of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University!

For the second time, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and Ukraine is experiencing an invasion of the Russian Federation on our native land! In 2014, the enemy seized part of our Fatherland, took away our homes, the buildings of the Alma Mater; divorced with families and friends. And on February 24, 2022, it began a full-scale war with the aim of destroying Ukraine as a state and nation.

The occupier expected an early victory, but ran into stiff resistance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and civil society, unprecedented support from the entire progressive world! The people of Ukraine took up arms, organized a powerful informational resistance and drove the aggressor into a dead end, sowing panic in the enemy army, demonstrating to the whole world an example of courage and inflexibility, and to the Russian society – the real face of their power – bloody and cynical!

No less heroically defends its civic position and homeland, the staff of the University, which rallied around a common threat and every minute, risking their lives, does everything possible and impossible to save the lives of students, colleagues and their native University. In all cities where the University is located, students, teachers and staff side by side defend their unit – an educational and scientific institute, faculty, college, the RCPE – in order to restore a full-fledged educational process at any time! Many foreign students who could not leave Ukraine are rooting for its fate and the fate of the University!

The university became a center of support for the residents of the communities, who found in it not only protection from enemy shelling, but also powerful moral support! Many residents have already expressed a desire to enter our institution after the war.

Dear students and staff of the University! Thanks to each of you for your boundless love for your native Earth and Alma Mater; readiness for self-sacrifice for the sake of saving the life of each member of the team and the University; a powerful contribution to the Victory! Peace will come very soon, good will triumph over evil, and the enemy will be punished for crimes against Ukraine and the genocide of the Ukrainian people!

Let the whole world know that there is a powerful, majestic and unbending Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, a champion of the Ukrainian national idea, a symbol of unity, independence and freedom of the Ukrainian nation, in the East of Ukraine!
