Angels of Memory – 2022

The university staff joined the action “Angels of Memory – 2022”.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University joined the quiet action “Angels of Memory” in order to honor the Heavenly Hundred Heroes at the initiative of the Student Social Service led by Olena Dukhova.

The initiators of the action are the well-known Ukrainian singer and public figure Anzhelika Rudnitska and Territory A, who in 2014 initiated a symbolic tradition of commemorating those who died for Ukraine with white angels. Every year, Ukrainians around the world create thousands of postcards from white paper, which symbolize those who died for Ukraine and our common painful memory and faith in the victory of light over darkness. Paper angels are hung on trees that witnessed the execution of peaceful Ukrainians who defended their right for dignity.

Now dozens of white angels are fluttering on the territory of our university, because the memory of the heroes does not fade in the hearts of our staff and students. We believe that they are next to us, protect us and believe that our Ukraine will prosper and develop.
