The Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Batumi Rostom Nakashidze organized an event in support of the unity of Ukraine.
On Unity Day, under the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Batumi, an event was held in support of the Ukrainian people, organized by a longtime friend and graduate of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko University, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Batumi, Rostom Nakashidze. The activists, led by a highly esteemed person, expressed words of support in honor of the Ukrainian state, demonstrated national symbols and read out a poem by Larysa Mandziuk, “You won’t burn kryla…!ˮ:
We remind you that in December 2021, Rector Olena Karaman paid an official visit to Georgia. The trip resulted in the signing of an agreement on cooperation in the educational, scientific, international, socio-cultural areas of activity of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University and the directions of interaction between the consulate and Ukraine were outlined.
The Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the city of Batumi Rostom Nakashidze has a fairly close relationship with our higher educational institution. He painfully endured its evacuation and happily shares all the successes of the past eight years. For his sincere support and serious assistance in establishing international cooperation in honor of the 101st anniversary of the founding of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National Univesity, Rostom Nakashidze will be awarded the honorary title of “Honorary Doctor of Science of LTSNU”.
Thanks to our international colleagues for their faith in Ukraine, its independence and irresistibility. Unity is our powerful weapon, because each of us bears a great responsibility for preserving the country’s greatest values. The university staff is sincerely confident in the support and friendliness of their Georgian colleagues. Unity is our strength!
