Lecture-conversation on academic integrity
14.2.2022
The second-third year students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences listened to a lecture-conversation on academic integrity when writing term papers.
The lecture-conversation was conducted by Tetiana Ulanovska, head teacher of the School of Academic Integrity, bibliographer of the I category of the library, who introduced the students with the rules of citation, the design of the list of used literature, the originality of the text, plagiarism and ways to avoid it. Also, attention was focused on compliance with the rules of academic integrity and familiarized with the main types of its violation when writing term papers.
The need for such lectures is to familiarize students who will write term papers with the requirements for writing and designing scientific research. The lecturer also noted the need for honesty and respect for other scientists when working with materials and shared with the audience examples of anti-plagiarism systems that are effective and accessible to anyone.
We hope that the acquired knowledge will certainly be needed by our students when writing term papers.
