STATE CERTIFICATION – 2022

From January 24 to January 27, 2022, the state certification of the second (master’s) level of higher education was held at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.

The chairman of the examination committee, associate professor, candidate of philological sciences, head of the department of business foreign language of the Poltava University of Economics and Trade Valentina Ishchenko addressed with a welcoming speech; and about. Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Doctor of Philology, Professor Irina Mygovych noted that the years of study at the magistracy were important and enjoyable for both applicants for education and teachers of the department, in addition, she wished everyone further growth in their professional careers; Head of the Department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Byndas thanked the undergraduates for conscientious training and interesting master’s studies, which the applicants for education completed together with their supervisors: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor S. Shekhavtsova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor T. Koknova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor I. Mygovych, Doctor of Philology, Professor O. Kobzar, Doctor of Philology, Professor V.  Dmytrenko, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor O. Byndas, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor L. Shapovalova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor V. Serheieva, Ph.D. in Philology, Associate Professor N. Savelieva and K. Philosopher. n., Associate Professor T. Stepykina.

Almost all the presented master’s studies, in total 48, have scientific novelty and practical value. But it is worth noting the works that have a special author’s approach: «Features of the speech portrait of the image of Hannibal Lecter based on the material of the novel The Silence of the Lambs by T. Harris» by Maria Sidelnikova (supervisor E.N. Byndas); «Influence of sociocultural factors on the functioning of neologisms (on the material of the English-language press)» by Galina Senogonova (supervisor S. Shekhavtsova); «Foreign lexical borrowings in English based on the material of E. Hemingway’s novel «And the Sun Rises» by Maxim Heavenly (supervisor T. Koknova); «Genre-style tendencies of Peter Meil’s novel «A Year in Provence» by Alexander Reshetnik (supervisor L. Shapovalova); «Formation of foreign language entrepreneurial competence of students of Ukrainian institutions of higher education of the IV level of accreditation in mastering foreign languages» by Yulia Safonova (supervisor I. Mygovych).

Master’s students will receive long-awaited diplomas in the following specialties: 014 Secondary education. Language and Literature (English); 014 Secondary education. Language and Literature (German); 014 Secondary education. Language and Literature (French); 035 Philology. Romance languages ​​and literatures (including translation). Natalia Bezrukova, Associate Professor of the Department of International Relations of the National University «Poltava Polytechnic named after Yuriy Kondratyuk», Poltava, received education among the graduates of the cross-master’s program; Valentina Lisnitskaya, teacher at the College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Starobilsk; Elizaveta Ponomarenko, inspector of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Boryspil; Oksana Sen, operator of Poltavateploenergo, Poltava; Olena Brovko, Head of the Department, Kiev University named after Boris Grinchenko, Kiev; Irina Kalko, Associate Professor, Department of Education Management, Luhansk OIPPO, Severodonetsk; Head of the Department of Ukrainian Studies and Foreign Languages, Dnepropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Dnipro; Sergey Filonenko, Associate Professor, Poltava State Agrarian University, Poltava; Olena Otravenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education of the Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Kremennaya and many others.
