Master class from a stakeholder

The higher education applicants of the Department of Commodity Research, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods Expertise took part in the master class.

Applicants of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, specialty 076 “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activity” of the educational program “Commodity Science and Expertise in Customs” and employees of the Department of Commodity Research, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods Expertise, ER ICSTT, joined the participation in the master class from the stakeholder.

Oleksandr Starikov Appraiser, Emergency Commissioner, Member of the All-Ukrainian Society of Appraisers “held a master class” Practical aspects of vehicle appraisal “(in the mode of Google Meet video telephone service). The speaker has a professional education in the specialty “Commodity Science and Expertise in Customs” and the qualification of a commodity expert. The master class was held as part of the completion of the mastery of the selective educational component “Expert Assessment of Property”.

During the master class, Oleksandr Starikov focused the participants’ attention on examples from practical experience, practical aspects of using the program for assessing vehicles, solving discussion issues with applicants for higher education.

Based on the results of participation in the master class, higher education applicants improved their skills: using information sources (normative, methodological, reference sources and software products) in the assessment process; application of methodological approaches, assessment methods and assessment procedures; inspection of vehicles (TS), their identification, drawing up acts of their technical condition; the use of comparative and cost approaches to assess the vehicle; assessment of the vehicle, drawing up reports on their assessment; adjusting the cost of the vehicle depending on different conditions; determining the market value of the vehicle, depending on the completeness, renewal of components, existing damage, etc.

It is extraordinary that the speaker of the master class, Oleksandr Starikov, can share his own practical experience, confirming that he has:

– the qualification certificate of the appraiser dated 20.02.2010 for the specialization “Assessment of road vehicles” (Certificate of advanced training of the appraiser for this specialization MF No. 7289-PK dated 23.01.2019);

– certificate of an emergency commissioner dated 20.11.2008 on specialization “Motor transport: autotechnical research; vehicle appraisal; determination of the reasons for the occurrence of the insured event and the amount of damageˮ;

– certificate of emergency commissioner dated 09.10.2008 on specialization “Objects: real estate; cars and equipment; moving things”.

Involving higher education applicants and university research and teaching staff to participate in such master classes from external stakeholders is a necessary component of improving the quality of higher education, sharing practical experience, updating the EP content based on modern practices and priorities of external stakeholders, clarifying the programmatic learning outcomes of the needs of stakeholders, labor market trends and the acquisition of competencies necessary for further successful professional activity.
