4.1.2022
The Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies held a series of trainings “Modern IT World” for young people from the city of Rubizhne.
Our guests were pupils of the Rubizhne secondary schools of I-III levels No. 2, 3, 7 of the Rubizhne City Council of the Luhansk region and students of the Rubizhne Professional College.
The trainings were held at the ICR (innovation classroom), installed in April 2020 as part of the MoPED project. The laboratory includes several zones: a zone of special equipment; zone of independent work; zone of 3D modeling and robotics; zone of creative trainings; engineering zone.
Each training began with an introduction to the areas of work in the IT industry. The students learned in which directions to move based on their abilities and preferences. Our guests were very active and asked a lot of questions. After the introductory part, they had the opportunity to share into teams and walk through the new computer lab.
The first group went to get acquainted with the works. The students saw the functionality of robots, and how they can be controlled in real time or using a pre-created program. Schoolchildren had the opportunity to test themselves as a researcher and developer on their own.
At this time, the second group got to know the structure and operation of a 3D printer and a laser machine. In the YouTube studio, students had the opportunity to create their own video greetings and gain basic knowledge of video editing.
At the end of the training, our guests had not only vivid impressions, but also some knowledge that they can apply in their lives.
