New Year’s fairy tale for children

The university held a children’s holiday dedicated to the Day of St. Nicholas.

Festive mood and anticipation of something incredible fly in the air. The lights and sparkles of decorated shop windows flicker, the crunch of fluffy snow is heard, the air smells of frost, New Year tree and tangerines. Yes, the winter holidays are starting!

Today, December 19, 2021, all Ukrainians celebrate the bright, kind, crowded and cheerful holiday of St. Nicholas Day, which is the first of the Christmas and New Year holidays. For a long time they consider Saint Nicholas as their patron, educator and deputy of children and youth. On this day, even adults begin to believe in miracles, and children are looking forward to the morning to look under the pillow or into the magic boot, it’s so nice to find gifts in it. Saint Nicholas became famous for his kindness and willingness to help everyone in need. He brings gifts to the youngest, and encourages adults to mercy, compassion and kindness.

The creative team of the Center for Culture and Leisure, together with the Primary Trade Union Organization of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, could not stand aside, therefore they organized a real New Year’s holiday for the children of teachers and university staff. The actors got used to their roles so realistically that the children did not even notice how they were already enjoying warm hugs with the Angel, Masha and the Bear, circling in a round dance with St. Nicholas. A lot of different games, contests made the holiday magical, fabulous, every child rejoiced and smiled. At the end, the children demonstrated their talents to St. Nicholas, for which they received delicious gifts.

On St. Nicholas Day, we sincerely wish you bright happiness and a good path to success, the fulfillment of cherished desires and sincere hopes, incredible luck in life and true love, excellent health and home comfort. Happy Holidays!
