Haytarma Presentation
7.12.2015
Students and lecturers of the Institute of Culture and Arts visited a presentation of “Haytarma” Crimean Tatar film.
The film portraits one of the most dehuminised soviet actions – deportation of the Crimean Tatar in 1944. These tragic events in the history of the Crimean Tatar were so skillfully described in the film that Haytarma received recognition at 15 world film festivals. Director and featured actor Ahtem Seytablaev brought the film to Poltava.
After film viewing there was a press-conference with the participation of director and actor, representatives of Poltava public and cultural establishments, priesthood, volunteers and militarists. They admitted the significance of Haytarma as a factor that attracts thoughts and sympathy. It makes the uncompromising attitude to that terrible events and makes them impossible in future. Also conference members noted the parallel between the film events and current political situation in Ukraine. Without doubts, Haytarma touched the feeling of the students and lecturers of the Institute of Culture and Arts. This a film which has a cry of people whose lives and dreams were killed in one moment. It makes us think that this has no right to happen again. Never. Nowhere. To nobody.
