University charity event

On the occasion of St. Nicholas Day, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University held a university charity event for children with hearing and mental impairments.

Children always look forward to St. Nicholas Day with delight, because they believe that a miracle will happen and they will receive gifts. The student social service of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University under the leadership of Olena Dukhova could not stand aside. Therefore, a university charity event was announced, where toys, sweets, office supplies and charitable contributions were collected. There were a lot of people who were not indifferent in all our structural subdivisions, so there were a huge number of gifts for kids.

On the eve of the holiday, representatives of the ER IPES handed over the collected things to the Kreminna regional specialized school. The presented gifts caused a sincere smile, loud laughter and tears of joy.

Volunteers of our HEI also visited the Svatovska regional special school, where they handed over all the collected things to children with hearing impairments and mental development. A pleasant and sensitive event was the gratitude to the volunteers in the form of a festive concert prepared by the pupils. One could feel happiness and positiveness in these sincere performances. 

We sincerely thank everyone who joined this action. Your small contribution has become a significant gift for every child. You helped them experience a real miracle. Let your kindness and generosity return to you a hundredfold. We wish you every well-being, health, prosperity and more warmth on your path in life.
