On December 16, 2021, the teaching staff and higher education applicants of the Department of Commodity Research, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods Expertise of the ER ICSTT joined the International Export Forum 2021: New Prospects and Digitalization for Export Development, which took place online.
The Forum is rightfully considered a permanent platform for an effective dialogue between business and government. In view of the changes in the business model of organizing negotiations between national and international companies that occur as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the current event is devoted to the discussion and presentation of digital export support mechanisms and new changes in the trends in export operations.
The event was organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the USAID Program, Competitive Economy of Ukraine, GIZ Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the national project for the development of entrepreneurship “Action. Businessˮ and “Action. Business. Exportˮ and the Office of Enterprise Development and Export.
The format of the Forum’s rich program is dedicated to the national export development strategy, new support mechanisms for national exporters, projects and programs from government and business organizations operating in Ukraine.
Participants could join all the discussion panels and workshops that took place during the forum for free.
The event was organized by the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the project, Application and Implementation of the EU-Ukraine Trade Association Agreement / EU4Business: Competitiveness and Internationalization of SMEs, co-funded by the European Union and the German government and implemented by the German federal Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
The goal of the project is to create better conditions for the development of Ukrainian small and medium-sized enterprises, support innovation and stimulate exports, which is a way of sustainable and even economic growth. As part of the Team Europe approach, the project will contribute to Ukraine’s recovery from the consequences of COVID-19.
EU4Business is an initiative of the European Union that helps small and medium-sized enterprises in the Eastern Partnership countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine – in particular, provides additional funding and services for business development, as well as promotes effective business regulation. In 2019, the European Union, through the EU4Business initiative, supported 4,279 entrepreneurs who increased their income by 406 million euros, created 50,799 new jobs, increased profits by 24.7% and increased exports by 5%.
