Student initiation ceremony at the FNS

On December 9, the student initiation ceremony took place at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. 

This year, the friendly student family of the Faculty of Natural Sciences has replenished with talented youth, who will have to create the future of the country. The academic year for every freshman is full of difficulties and joyful impressions. But a special event for the entire student community is the students initiation ceremony. This day is one of the most joyful and exciting for both young people and teachers.

In the initiation program, each group of freshmen presented their specialty by preparing a short video and a vocal and dance number. During the presentations, students showed everyone that they are active, creative and inspired, proving that they are a worthy addition to the faculty family. The senior students also did not stand aside, who happily accepted their younger friends and presented them with gifts typical for each specialty.

Our talented senior students also helped to create a festive atmosphere for this event, who presented a choreographic composition of the dance group “Greenstyle” and a wonderful and incendiary song performed by our senior students Oleksandra Shkarupa and Maksym Beletskyi.

The rector of our university, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olena Leonidivna Karaman and the Chairman of the Academic Council, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Vitalii Semenovych Kurylo came to the holiday with a welcoming speech. They wished the freshmen creative inspiration and success in their studies.

The honored guests of the holiday were representatives of the administration, the primary trade union organization and structural subdivisions of the university.

The student’s oath is one of the most important attributes of the initiation ceremony, and therefore, during the oath, students vowed to become professionals in their field, to abide by the laws of student life, and also to respect and glorify their native faculty.

And at the end of the holiday, Natalia Matsai, the keeper of our faculty, congratulated the students on their initiation and conveyed the flame of unity between students, teachers and graduates. The tradition of transferring the fire began in 2014, when students in difficult times were able to gather for an offsite session for the first time in Kreminna and lit a small candle of unity with those who could not come. 

For brilliant performances and presentation of their specialties, all freshmen were presented with sweets from the dean’s office.

The holiday ended with the performance of the anthem of the Faculty of Natural Sciences by the entire faculty family.

According to the Faculty of Natural Sciences
