World AIDS Day at the IPP

The main goal of the World AIDS Day is to direct the society’s attention to this problem.
The Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology jointly with the Society Support Center and Social Service of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University organized and conducted a number of thematic events dedicated to the World AIDS Day.
The first-year students of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of “Social Pedagogy”, “Psychology” and “Practical Psychology” specialties have had a meeting with the Society Support Center’s representative who told about the terrible demographic consequences of HIV infection in the world.
President of the Society Support Center Kateryna Solovova hold a seminar “I Can” which was aimed to create humanistic student’s attitude to HIV positive and infected people.
The students of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of Correctional Education specialty took part in the traditional action (candle procession) which was conducted 17 o’clock.
Such events should change individual and public behavior and help to make a choice for healthy life – the right way to prevent the AIDS. Every person, especially the youth, should know about the AIDS danger and possible modes of infection. Forewarned is forearmed.
