Meeting of the Council of Heads of Displaced HEIs

On December 2, the University Rector Olena Karaman took part in a regular meeting of the Council of Heads of Displaced Higher Education Institutions. 

The meeting of the Council of the displaced HEIs was held on the basis of the Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (Kramatorsk) under the chairmanship of Olha Porkuian, Rector of the Volodymyr Dal East Ukrainian National University.

The agenda included the issue: “About the further development of displaced education institutions in the face of external and internal challenges.”

During the meeting, issues of possible optimization / reorganization of the displaced HEIs, restoration of the material and technical base, financial assistance from international partners, conditions for admission to the displaced HEIs, the cost of training, etc. were discussed. The result of the meeting was a draft appeal from the Council of Heads of the displaced HEIs to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, which, after agreement with all participants, will be sent to the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Serhii Shkarlet.

After the meeting, the Rector of Donbas National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture Vasyl Kravets conducted a tour of the Academy, demonstrating the achievements of teachers and students during 7 years.
