International Volunteer Day

Students-volunteers were awarded at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Today, December 05, 2021, the entire world community celebrates International Volunteer Day. After all, volunteering is one hundred percent vocation, the desire of a sincere and highly spiritual person to make the world a better place, to help everyone in need of protection and support. It is a powerful social movement, an incredible impulse of high good, the noblest human activity.

This direction occupies a significant place in our university. The student social service under the clear guidance of the head Olena Dukhova regularly conducts various volunteer actions to improve the harsh conditions of our time. Volunteer students help elderly people, distribute things and toys, congratulate veterans, etc.

Viktoria Shipulina, Deputy Director-Head of the Social Work Service in the Community of the Municipal Institution “Starobilsk City Center of Social Services” of the Starobilsk City Council and the head of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Starobilsk City Council Oleksii Poluliaschenko, visited our university to thank for their hard work. They happily presented our students with a Gratitude for fruitful cooperation, active social activities, a significant contribution to providing support to vulnerable segments of the population, as well as gift cups on the occasion of the International Volunteer Day. During the conversation, the audience noted that volunteers make an extremely significant contribution to society and develop humanity and goodness in those around them. Of course, plans for further cooperation and activities were also discussed.
