World AIDS Day
2.12.2021
Students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences joined marking the World AIDS Day.
AIDS Day is proclaimed by the World Health Organization and first marked on December 1, 1988. Since that time, World AIDS Day has been celebrated annually.
The main goal of World AIDS Day is to draw public attention to the problem. And therefore, the student self-government of the Faculty of Natural Sciences prepared red ribbons, which are symbols of this day, and booklets, which describe in detail the ways of contracting AIDS and methods of preventing this disease.
With ribbons and booklets, education applicants visited all structural subdivisions and university departments, as well as the Rector of the University. By attaching red ribbons to each of their clothes, education applicants reminded that people express their support with this symbol, compassion and experience to those who are sick.
Everyone should remember that AIDS is not a death sentence; one can live with it and even enjoy life. On this day, everyone needs to think about the value of human life and health. Only together, by uniting efforts, humanity can confront global problems and continue to develop and prosper. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
