Master Classes by the Department of Choreography

Teachers of the Department of Choreography of the Institute of Culture and Arts of LNU visited Ivan Kotliarevskyi Hadiach Art School on November 25.

Luhansk specialists have obtained an invitation of school directorate and have gone to share their experience in special choreographic disciplines teaching.

“Hadiach Art School was founded in 1935 and the Department of Choreography is 40 years old, – tells the teacher of the Department of Choreography of Luhansk Institute of Culture and Arts Tetiana Vylkhovchenko. – Of course, school has gained serious pedagogical experience for this period, formed own traditions, especially in folk choreography teaching. Many young teachers work at school. It has busy concert activity.”

The teachers of the Institute of Culture and Arts of LNU Tetiana Vylkhovchenko and Mariia Kharchenko held master-classes in classic choreography, historical folk dance for the third year and in ballet-master art for the forth year.

“We were very warmly welcomed. It was nice to see talented students. Next time we will try to follow Hadiach school students’ wishes – to held master-class in modern choreography, – comments the Head of Department of Choreography of Luhansk Institute of Culture and Arts Kateryna Irdynenko. – In addition, school directorate proposed us to prepare joint concert. We are glad to develop our creative contacts.”

8 graduates of choreographic department from Ivan Kotliarevskyi Hadiach Art School study at the Institute of Culture and Arts of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. Students were so impressed by the master-classes that next year more number of master-classes is planned.
