Day of Dignity and Freedom
22.11.2021
The Institute of Culture and Arts celebrated the Day of Dignity and Freedom.
On November 19, information hours dedicated to the Day of Dignity and Freedom of Ukraine were held at the Educational and Research Institute of Culture and Arts.
The education applicants, together with their advisers, watched films about Euromaidan, including “Winter is on Fire. Prayer for Ukraineˮ, which is the largest and most titled painting about the Revolution of Dignity. This film was shown as part of the official program of the Venice Film Festival and was nominated for an Oscar.
They talked about the turning points of Ukrainian history, the need to comprehend it, and the responsibility of everyone in realizing values. They talked about examples of memorialization of events in Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and about the project of a museum in Kyiv.
Also, the student government recorded a video for Vasyl Symonenko’s poem, which was written back in the 60s of the twentieth century, but is relevant to this day. A 4th year student majoring in “Musical Art” Viktoria Shcherbina presented her author’s poem “This is my incredible Ukraine… ˮ. Everyone can watch the video on the pages of the ER ICA social networks.
