Marketing education of the modern entrepreneur

Teachers of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship took part in a representative international educational and specialized event.

With the assistance of the Department of Education and Science of the Luhansk Regional State Administration and the Administration of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, teachers of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship on November 17-18, 2021 took part in a representative international educational and specialized event “Forum on Social Entrepreneurship and Corporate Social Responsibility”. It was held within the framework of the USAID Project “Economic Support to Eastern Ukraine” for representatives of local authorities, civil society and higher education institutions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv regions and other southeastern regions of Ukraine with the aim of introducing educational and civic support for the development and implementation of business projects in the social and environmental spheres.

In accordance with the practices of the European Union, the core of such activities is modern marketing, therefore the composition of the Forum’s experts was natural: leading marketing specialists from Germany, Latvia and Georgia; heads of departments of social protection, economics and investments of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions; teachers of the departments of the economic profile of the leading universities of the country – the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, the Ukrainian Catholic University, Kharkiv universities named after Karazin and Simon Kuznets.

This Forum was distinguished by its special dynamism and democratism of its holding. It provided an excellent opportunity to generalize the policies of the European Union on combining the efforts of business, civil society and the educational sphere in the preparation of modern business-oriented specialists in the social sphere, was aimed at understanding advanced approaches in university activities and contributed to the establishment of new mutually beneficial educational and professional contacts.

The forum, which was attended by more than 200 participants, provided for active debates, discussions, networking, presentation of their own developments not only in previously defined, but also in improvised areas of activity. Head of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship Professor Viacheslav Chebotarov held a panel discussion on cross-cultural marketing support for business communications and the introduction of effective cooperation in this area of ​​representatives of international charitable organizations, local governments and universities. The Associate Professor Natalia Chebotarova, at the subsection of representatives of higher education, highlighted the experience of the department in teaching educational components in socially-oriented entrepreneurship in training the specialists in the economic field.

The Department will discuss with applicants majoring in “Marketing” and “Economics” and stakeholders-employers the Forum’s proposals aimed at improving the educational process in the context of implementing the experience of the countries of the European Union and Ukrainian HEIs to deepen the study of academic disciplines on the issues of social responsibility of business in the modern world.
