IX All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference

The Department of Romance and Germanic Philology hosted the IX All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Internet Conference.
On November 18, 2021, the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology hosted the IX All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Internet Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Romance and Germanic Languages in Modern Intercultural Space”. Colleagues and representatives of Kharkiv H. Skovoroda National Pedagogical University, Kharkiv; Kryvyi Rih National University, Kryvyi Rih; National University “Poltava Y. Kondratiuk Polytechnic”, Poltava; V.G. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University and others took part in the Internet conference.
The conference began with a welcoming speech by Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages Svitlana Shekhavtsova, who noted the importance and scientificity of the All-Ukrainian scientific and practical Internet conference; stressed the importance for higher education students to follow the rules of academic integrity when writing scientific papers. Olena Byndas, Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, also made a welcoming speech, updating information on the reform of higher education in Ukraine and prospects for development in 2021-2027.
After the plenary session, the sections “Topical issues of Romance and Germanic philology and translation studies”, “Modern strategies of intercultural communication in the European space”, “Peculiarity of Romance and Germanic literature”, “Innovative technologies of teaching Romance and Germanic languages” began their work. The following students presented their reports at the plenary session: undergraduate Jaylee Woo “Endurance – a comparative study of four bible stories”, supervisor Ph.D., associate professor O.M. Byndas; 3rd year student Kateryna Grechyshkina “Specifics of the use of the Bloom’s pyramid in foreign language lessons”, supervisor doctor, professor S.O. Shekhavtsova; 2nd year student Vitaliy Horbanyov “Video games: leisure with benefits or how to enrich vocabulary in the process of video games”, supervisor N.Yu. Komlyk; 4th year student Margaryta Chugaeva “Linguistic and stylistic features of biblical texts based on Psalm 119″, supervisor Ph.D., associate professor L.V. Shapovalova; 2nd year student Yelyzaveta Dolya “Formation of socio-cultural competence in future teachers with the help of video files of various types“, supervisor doctor, professor T.A. Koknova and many others.
All participants had the opportunity to discuss the reports, and suggest the ways to address the issues raised by the speakers.
The conference was held in a friendly format, and at the end of the work the closing results of the IX All-Ukrainian scientific and practical Internet conference of students and young scientists were summed up.
