The World Science Day to promote public awareness around the world was recommended in 1999 at the World Science Conference in Budapest (now the World Science Forum), which expressed the need for closer cooperation between science and society.
Following the 1999 conference, the General Conference of UNESCO in 2001, by resolution 31C / 20, formally established World Science Day. World Science Day was first celebrated globally in 2002.
Since 2013, World Science Day has been celebrated. First of all, the Science Day was held by young scientists of the Institute of Physiology. AA Bogomolets of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on November 10. In the following years, other institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and universities from Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro and Odessa joined the celebration.
From September 1, 2021, the competition for the award of the regional state administration and the regional council for employees of scientific institutions and institutions of higher education – well-known scientists, well-known specialists, young scientists, researchers. Applications were accepted until October 20, 2021. Documents for participation in the competition were submitted in person or by e-mail to the Department of Education and Science of the regional state administration.
Kolesnikov Valerіі works at LNU. Taras Shevchenko at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Trade, Service Technologies and Tourism since 2013. Until 2021 he entered the doctoral program of the Karpenko Physico-Mechanical Institute Of The Nas Of Ukraine. He won the award for employees of scientific and higher educational institutions.
The awarding of diplomas for the winners of various awards took place on November 12, 2021 at the Lviv Vocational College, where the winners were invited. The solemn event was attended by Minister of Education and Science Serhiy Shkarlet.
Also this year, Associate Professor Kolesnikov Valerіі is a co-author of 2 publications included in the 1st quarter of scientific works and indexed by scientific-metric systems Scopus and Web of Science.
