A meeting with a new Rector was held at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

November 18, 2021, a solemn meeting of the teaching staff with the newly elected Rector Olena Karaman took place in the university assembly hall. Recall that by the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 458-K dated November 15, 2021, she was appointed Rector for a period of five years – from November 16, 2021 to November 15, 2026. The chairman of the Academic Council, Vitalii Kurylo, officially presented it to the members of the administration.

In her congratulatory speech to the audience, Olena Karaman noted: “The staff members of our university have gone through a lot. They managed to prove their ability to survive, recover and develop in any conditions. We can say that they already have immunity from various undesirable factors. In this position, I set a goal for myself – to develop, move forward and be invincible thanks to the cooperation of the entire team of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. We should only occupy leadership positions!”

After the solemn part, a discussion of current working issues took place, among which it was noted that from November 22, 2021, the university is switching to a blended form of study in compliance with all quarantine requirements. From the beginning of the week, the firstyear higher education applicants of all structural subdivisions will study in the classroom, and senior courses – by the decision of structural subdivisions.
